10 Best Pickleball Courts In Albuquerque

So let’s say you’re in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and are looking for a place to play pickleball. If you live in this area, then you should know that you’re in luck! There are many different choices you’ll have available.

In this article, we’re going to take a look at the 10 best pickleball courts in Albuquerque. We’ve made sure to include a variety of locations from across the city.

So let’s get right into it!

1. Manzano Mesa Pickleball Complex

Address: 501 Elizabeth SE

One of the best things about pickleball courts in Albuquerque is that it has two designated pickleball locations. The first is Manzano Mesa Pickleball Complex.

This location has 18 designated pickleball courts where you can go to enjoy a game out in the open.

Although all the courts are outdoors, you should take note that 6 of them have full lighting, meaning you’ll be able to play even when the sun goes down.

Manzano Mesa Pickleball Complex is open from 6 am to 10 pm every day without exceptions, meaning you can go play a game early in the morning, on the weekends, or after a tough day at work.

This is also one of the meeting places for the Abq Pickleball Club, and you will find members of the club playing there every week.

There are also plans to expand this complex to eventually house 21 pickleball courts, making it one of the largest pickleball complexes in America.

So this is a great chance for you to get into pickleball as it expands within the city! You won’t find another location across the city that is more equipped for giving you some incredible games of pickleball.

2. Villela Pickleball Courts

Address: 4800 Cherokee NE

If you’re looking for another park with designated pickleball courts, then you should check out Villela Park Pickleball Courts. Villela Park is a large area that has all kinds of different facilities for sports, and enjoying good weather.

The pickleball courts here include 6 outdoor hard courts, with permanent pickleball lines meaning you won’t have to worry about adapting a tennis court.

They also include permanent nets, meaning that you won’t have to bring a net either.

You should know that all 6 of these dedicated pickleball courts include lighting, meaning you can play late! This location is also completely free, meaning you won’t have to worry about an entry fee.

It can, however, get a little busy, especially at peak times or on the weekends, so make sure you bring some patience if you want to get some time on these courts.

To the west of the courts, you will find the Albuquerque Boys and Girls Club, and to the east, you’ll find the large open space of the park with a designated playpark.

These features make this park a great family location, so you can bring kids along too!

3. Hoffman Park

Address: 8712 Phoenix Ave NE

Next up, we have Hoffman Park, where there are Tennis courts with pickleball lines. This means that you can show up with a portable net and a little bit of knowledge and easily play a game or two of pickleball.

The downside to this park is that you’ll have to bring all of your own equipment, but the upside is that it’s not usually that busy and is open from 9 am to 10 pm every day of the week.

Take note that Hoffman Park also has a wide open space where people like to go on runs or walk their dogs, and also that it has a large playpark making it a great location to take the whole family.

4. Alamosa Park

Address: 1100 Bataan SW

Next up we have the beautiful Alamosa Park. Like Hoffman Park above, you’ll be able to head on down and play some games on tennis courts, providing you have the nets and equipment.

Thankfully, there are dedicated pickleball court lines that you can use. This is a great location if you’re looking for a vibrant park that has lots of different things going on in it, including a skate park and a wide open area.

5. Columbus Park

Address: 5301 Guadalupe Trail NW

Columbus Park is another great location for you to play pickleball. There are 4 outdoor courts with hard surfaces and permanent pickleball lines.

This is one of the most popular parks to play pickleball in all of Albuquerque, and although you will have to bring your own net in order to play, these courts are completely free to use.

You should also know that they have lights for when it gets dark out.

6. Rinconada Park

Address: 3125 Painted Rock NW

Next up we have another smaller location where you can play pickleball. La Rinconada Park has a selection of 4 hard outdoor courts.

As with some of our earlier locations, the lines are permanent but you’ll need to bring your own net in order to play. Most pickleball players choose to bring along a portable net, which they can swap over.

These courts are completely free, and you won’t be able to reserve a spot, so make sure you pick a time when they are unlikely to be busy!

7. Eagle Ranch Park

Address: 35000 1/2 Congress NW

Eagle Ranch Park is a less popular but decent location to play a few games of pickleball. It features 4 hard, outdoor courts that you will be able to convert into pickleball courts.

As before, simply bring a net and other important equipment that you might need. Eagle Ranch is open from 7 am to 10 pm daily, making it a perfect place to come for an early morning or late evening game.

8. Ventana Ranch Park

Address: 10000 Universe NW

Next up, we have a much larger area with 12 courts that you will be able to choose from. Unfortunately, you’ll have to bring your own net, but these courts are completely lighted and open from 10 am to 12 pm Monday to Sunday.

You should also consider getting involved with Abq Pickleball Club, which meets weekly to play pickleball at this location. This could be a great first place to go if you’re new to the sport and don’t know anybody else who plays.

It’s because of this that Ventana Ranch Park is one of the best locations you can choose across the city to play pickleball.

9. Loma Del Norte Park

Address: 7511 Burke NE

This small park in the middle of Albuquerque has 4 tennis courts with designated pickleball lines, making it a great place to come for a few games when you have some spare time in the city.

The courts are hard, outdoor tennis courts, so you’ll have to bring your own net, but you will be able to play games from as early as 7 am to as late as 11 pm, making it one of the most flexible locations in the city.

The courts are located on the east side of the park, surrounded by a few clusters of trees, and you’ll be able to see down to the sports fields and playground that’s close to the courts.

The main downside for Loma Del Norte is that there are no public facilities, but it’s a great park in general.

10. Lynnewood Park

Address: 2721 Marie Park NE

For the final location on our list, you should consider going down to Lynnewood park, which is flanked by Lexington Avenue and Los Arboles Avenue.

This is a small park home to a series of hard, outdoor tennis courts. Thankfully, these come equipped with designated, permanent pickleball lines, but you will have to bring your own net.

These courts are completely free to play on, but they can get quite busy due to their location.

We would recommend exercising some patience if you head down and find that they are occupied, as there are always lots of people looking to play tennis or other court games on them.
